Dillman's Creative Arts Workshops - This is the 37th year of bringing nationally known art instructors and special interest programs to the beautiful Northwood's. Woodland Indian Art Center -The Art Center and Gallery offers classes, workshops, demonstrations, and a full range of Native artistic programming. Classes in beading and moccasin making, fish decoy carving, birch bark basket making, and more are offered year round. All levels of classes are available. If your group has a special interest in Native art we will customize classes with qualified instructors to meet your requirements.

St. Anthony's Salad Luncheon- The Women's Club of St. Anthony's Church will be holding their 53rd Annual Spring Luncheon on May 21 at 12:00 p.m. at the Parish Hall, Hwy 47 (Old Abe Road) Lac du Flambeau. Cost is $10.00.  Tickets are available at the door, day of event or by calling (715) 588-2001. A variety of salads will be served. There will be door, raffle and table prizes.

FREE FUN WEEKEND - For two days in June, Wisconsin residents and visitors alike can enjoy some of the country's best outdoor recreation for free.

On (TBD), people can fish for free anywhere in Wisconsin, hike or bike state trails for free, ride public ATV trails for free, and, new this year, enjoy free admission to state parks and forests on both days as well.

"Free Fun weekend is a great way for friends and families to enjoy the great outdoor throughout Wisconsin," says Preston Cole, Natural Resources Board chairman. July 4th Celebration - Held throughout downtown Lac du Flambeau with the parade starting at 12:00 pm. Kiddie Parade, Trophies, Native American crafts and food, Pow Wow at 7:00 pm and fireworks following at dusk. 33rd Annual - Bear River Pow Wow-July 10-12 Held in the Old Indian Village on the Bear River Pow Wow grounds. This annual event brings tribes from across the nation to celebrate together. 11th Annual LdF Lion's Brewfest - Saturday, July 25th - Held at Torpy Park in Minocqua from 1 pm to 5 pm. Sample 70+ craft, specialty and micro brewery beers. 3rd Annual Run to Remember -

The Nicolet College Foundation will hold the Third Annual Run to Remember Saturday, August 29th, to raise money for scholarships in honor of Kory Dahlvig, a Nicolet graduate and former Vilas County sheriff’s deputy who lost his life in an on-duty traffic accident.

The 5K and 10K will start on the Nicolet College campus.  Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m., the 10K Run starts at 9:00 a.m., the 5K Run/Walk starts at 9:15 a.m., and the Children’s Run starts at 10:30 a.m. 


The registration fee for the 5K and 10K is $25 through August 10th.  After that date, the fee is $30.  Cotton T-shirts are included with pre-registration and DriWick shirts are available for an additional $5.  The Children’s Run is free.
